Great little biscuit jar akin to the Napco & LA Pottery Cookies All Over jar, however, this little guy came about 20 years earlier! This one has the shape of a house with cookies all over it. No chips, no cracks or hairlines. Excellent display condition! “Basket handle” in excellent original condition as well ! Marked on the bottom “Japan” in a stylized wreath. These were also used to carry biscuits or small cookies as gifts, hence the basket handle. This was the forerunner of the Napco & LA Pottery jars that paved the way for their design & popularity! c late 1930s or early 40s, this jar deserves a spot alongside the Napco & LA Pottery jars in your collection.
