Elsie the Cow or Beulah the Calf Bust Collector Cookie Jar
Elsie the Cow aka Beulah the Calf Collector Cookie Jar. This jar has no maker mark and we have no idea of maker or origin but it is most definitely a vintage jar. This jar does bear a striking and more precise resemblance to the Beulah the Calf Metlox jar, however, it has no talker in the lid. If this is or was a Metlox jar, the talker was obviously removed. It’s a very solid, well-made jar with superb colors and in superb condition, no chips, no cracks or hairlines. This could be the foreign made version of Beulah the Calf CJ. Whoever made this dynamite jar did so with precision, superb colors and details. Still an all time favorite jar for collectors of all levels. A must for any collection! To clean these jars safely, we highly suggest that you purchase one of our cleaning cloths listed under the “HANDCRAFTED TEXTILES AND POTTERY LINK NEAR THE TOP OF THE HOME PAGE. They’re only $6.99 and crafted entirely by hand. These are soft cloths that will not scratch the surfaces esp for the cold painted jars. If purchased with a jar, there will be no additional shipping fees. If you are so charged for shipping this will be refunded to you if you have purchased one with one of our jars. There is a photo available of an example of these great cleaning cloths at that link mentioned within the site. Pottery Guild Elsie the Cow Collector Cooke Jar ~Original~
Pottery Guild Elsie The Cow ~Original~ Collector Cookie Jar. She’s in great condition, no chips or cracks, just a couple of minor factory glaze pops. Nice jar! Highly sought after in this condition. One person asked how I knew if this jar is an original. There’s a lot of criteria that you look for when determining if a jar is an original…quality, marks, coloring, size, etc. The original Elsie WAS made by Pottery Guild and they did not mark with the company mark. Most of the reproductions are marked as “McCoy” or some other company name … that is actually no longer belonging to the original company. This jar is the correct height, quality, color. And, after handling cookie jars for over 35 years, its second nature to know which is which and for those out there who have to rely on our honesty, we hope that you will. We’re not an internet auction site where the sellers run free & unchecked. We’re collectors too and this site was developed so that we might be able to help buyers find quality items such as this is for reasonable prices in a safe forum. We have fun collecting, trading and chatting with you and we appreciate your trust & comments. We’re sure you’ll be quite pleased with this jar that we offer here for a fair price…ENJOY! McCoy Nabisco Barnum's Animal Crackers Clown Collector Cookie Jar
Nabisco Barnum’s Animal Cracker Jar made by McCoy Collector Cookie Jar. Mint condition, no chips or cracks! Great color, nice jar made c 1970. This is a real McCoy! Bottom impressed with “USA” & # 152, this information doesn’t show well in the photo, but its there. Remember when we were kids? We could go to the ma/pa corner store with a nickel and buy one of the “Barnum Animal” crackers boxes full of those tasty animal crackers. Back then of course, they cost 3 c to 5 c a box. They still sell them today, however, I’m sure those small boxes are well over a dollar now. This should bring back some baby-boomer memories! Great jar that we all grew up with! Coca Cola Syrup Dispenser Style Collector Cookie Jar
Coca Cola: Coca Cola Syrup Dispenser Style Collector Cookie jar. Released in the late 1990′s & copied from the original & famous Coke Syrup Dispenser from the 1890’s, this jar is a wonderful replication of that Victorian syrup dispenser. It bears the Coca Cola label on the bowl and has the same wording that the original dispenser had on the base; “delicious & refreshing”. These jars are out of production now, to my understanding, & they are becoming more and more difficult to find as time passes. Very desirable & highly collectable jar! Bottom-side has the original label showing this was authorized by & manufactured under the direction of Coca Cola. No chips, no cracks. Beautiful jar in mint condition ready for use and display. Sorry, this does not come with the original box but it does have its description papers pasted on the underside as shown in the photo.
