American Bisque ~Rare~ Swee Pea (Sweet Pea) Collector Cookie Jar
American Bisque Swee Pea (or as some call him Sweet Pea) Collector Cookie Jar. Yes! He is an original, flawless, RARE American Bisque Swee Pea Cookie jar, marked simply “USA” sporting the typical ABC wedges on the base. No chips, no cracks but he does have the usual crazing that comes with jars of this age. I never understood why they put a bee on his butt, but, its there and unlike many of these jars, this bee is perfect. Many of these jars lost the “bee” a long time ago due to carelessness. Of course another problem was the nose being broken, too. Look at the photos closely! He’s a fantastic New Year baby! HIGHLY SOUGHT AFTER RARE JAR FOR BOTH NOVICE AS WELL AS SEASONED COLLECTOR! GREAT PRICE TOO considering that book values have him priced between $1800 – $3200! What more can I say? To clean these jars, we highly recommend that you purchase one of our cleaning cloths listed under the “HANDCRAFTED TEXTILES AND POTTERY LINK NEAR THE TOP OF THE HOME PAGE. They’re only $6.99 and crafted entirely by hand. These are soft cloths that will not scratch the surfaces esp for the cold painted jars. If purchased with a jar, there will be no additional shipping fees. If you are so charged for shipping this will be refunded to you if you have purchased one with one of our jars. American Bisque Yogi Bear Collector Cookie Jar
American Bisque: Original Yogi Bear Collector Cookie Jar. Better than the average bear, and also “Better than the average cookie” it says on the sign next to Yogi. He’s quite a large and heavy jar. On the back it says “Hanna Barberra 1961 Productions USA”. Just think of it…1961 doesn’t sound that far away, but in actuality, this jar is going to be 50 years old in 2011! No chips, no cracks but there is one factory flaw. On the inside of the jar running down the backside, again, inside only, is a dark line that appears to have been a stress line about 2 inches long. You cannot feel it. Run your finger over it, it’s smooth like the rest of the inside of the jar. It’s glazed over almost like maybe a hair was caught in the glaze before firing. It does not go thru to the outside back of the jar. It is not visible on the outside of the backside of the jar. I tried to photograph it and I include the 2 photos with the spot circled. This does not interfere with the structural integrity of the jar, nor do I believe it will ever break in this spot. Anyway, he’s still a great jar and priced with this slight factory defect in consideration. Very clean & great color. Baby boomer collector cookie jar for sure! American Bisque Davy Crocket Collector Cookie Jar
American Bisque: Davy Crocket Collector Cookie Jar. Super condition, no chips or cracks. Jar has original stamped initials of the company “artist” who painted the jar which appears to be a “V” or an “A” in the bottom of the base, so, we know this is not a reproduction. Very hard to find jar and highly sought after by both the novice collector as well as the advanced collector! This is one of three different styles of Davy Crocket made by American Bisque…we have all three listed! Go for it! American Bisque (Repro?) Casper Collector Cookie Jar
American Bisque: (Possible look-a-like, a take-off on the original?) Casper, Collector Cookie Jar. I feel that this jar is a reproduction, however it was so clean, and, so close in appearance to the original, its very difficult to tell it apart from the original, if it is a reproduction. I am selling this as a reproduction for those of you who might want a filler jar until you can afford the real thing. Back-side is signed as is the original…. “Harvey Productions Inc, USA”. And its signed on the front “Casper”. This jar is more in line with the size of the candy jar than it is the original cookie jar. As you’re all well aware, the candy jar is very rare! Can’t go wrong at this price whatever it is and it is wonderfully detailed jar in mint condition, no chips or cracks. I’m sure you’ll be very happy with this jar! I was when I found him! Enough so to offer him to you for your collection! Please click on the thumbnails or use the photo slide show to enjoy a better view of the jar, then, click the “add to cart” button!

American Bisque Cookie Girl Collector Cookie Jar
American Bisque: Cookie Girl Collector Cookie Jar. Excellent condition, no chips or cracks, just some light typical crazing for a jar this age. Was a popular style jar since 2 companies liked it well enough to make it. Abingdon had their own nearly identical version of this nice jar. The exception being between the two companies and their jars was the stamp on the underside and the colors. While this jar, the American Bisque version has red bows in the girl’s hair, the Abingdon jar had blue bows in the girl’s hair. The word “cookies” is trimmed in gold leaf and makes the jar look rather expensive and it stands out very nicely! Don’t see many of these around, even on E bay these days! Very hard to find jar esp in the condition this jar is! Worthy of any collection! Bottom is incised “USA 202” in a stylized script.
