American Bisque (ABC) Collegiate Owl Collector Cookie Jar
American Bisque (ABC) Collegiate Owl CJ. Nice jar, nice condition! No chips, no cracks, no repairs. Crazing does show particularly on his “hat” & some with lightly & nicely darkened lines to let you know this little guy has withstood the test of time. Marked on the backside near the base “USA”. Not a reproduction. Colors are a little faded due to the photo process. This is a substantial jar with great earth-tone colors. Ready for display in your collection or would make a great gift! How about making a gift of this to a graduate?? Maybe you can encourage him or her to start collecting jars with this as their first! American Bisque Baby Chick with Tam Collector Cookie Jar
American Bisque AKA ABC: Baby Chick with Tam CJ. Beautiful colors! Great condition! It does have a small “bubble pop” on the edge of the lid rim. I’ve circled the spot in the photo. A bubble in the ceramic “popped” in the making process causing the pottery to separate slightly at this point. No big deal, but just thought to mention it. Someone who had this jar in their inventory at one time must have had a pretty bad knowledge of animals, they have it written on the bottom as “Cookie Jar 200, Canary”. Canary? Hardly! They made two styles of this jar. The other style of this jar, the Chick’s tam (hat) is the lid, while this one the entire head is the lid. Again, very beautiful, colorful jar. Another one that I don’t believe was used very much. Little or no crazing and no chips or cracks and no cookie grease! American Bisque [ABC] Clown Collector Cookie Jar
American Bisque (ABC): Circus Clown made in 1959…..the year “the music died” when Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens and the Big Bopper went down in the plane crash in Iowa. This jar probably heard that message come over the radio! This is about the best example of this colorful jar that I’ve seen in a VERY long time. Super nice, very clean condition. No chips, no cracks very minimal crazing. No cookie grease, no dark crazing lines inside or outside the jar. Most likely it was just a shelf sitter all these years! Incredibly, he retains most of his ORIGINAL cold-paint, too! Marked USA on the underside, and it has all the right marks elsewhere too….look inside the jar and you’ll find the “chop marks” to identify the authenticity, the initials of the maker of this particular jar who worked for American Bisque. If you like clowns……he’s waiting to be proudly displayed in YOUR collection! Click the add to cart and buy him! It’s as easy as “ABC”. Wallet friendly price, too! Don’t just buy an American Bisque Clown jar, buy this one as an investment & for the memories! American Bisque Kitten on Beehive Collector Cookie Jar
American Bisque: Kitten on Beehive cookie jar. NO chips, no cracks or any damage to report. Marked USA on the back bottom rim of the jar. Colorful & whimsical, jar. Very heavy & solid. Some light crazing with darkened craze lines from cookie grease, typical for age & use. Someone put some felt-like material on the pads of the jar and this is the 2 dark areas you see on the bottom to protect the jar & surface the jar rested on.. If you want, I’m sure you can easily remove the material. Nice jar. Please click on the thumbnails or use the photo slide show to enjoy a better view of jar, then, click the “add to cart” button!
