Hull Red Riding Hood Small Poppy Chain Flowers Collector Cookie Jar.  The demand for these jars was so intense that Hull needed help to produce them. They turned to Regal China company, well known for their superior quality products. This jar is no less. It’s a very heavy, well-made jar with great coloring, no chips or cracks. This jar has the small poppy flowers in a chain along her skirt and the gold-leaf stars on her apron. There’s the usual crazing & I find one or two straight craze lines that at first I thought were hairline cracks, but they are not. I rub my fingernail over them and they are smooth being under glaze. Unlike many of these jars, this one retains the majority of the gold trim about her hood and other areas where it was originally applied. This jar in my opinion has superior color & quality overall. Signed on the bottom very faintly, so faint it won’t show in the photos but its there… “967 Hull Ware Little Red Riding Hood USA” Really nice jar & a difficult to find one esp in this condition.  This jar has the open basket with the blue tea cloth over the cookies. This one will surely please any novice or advanced collector. Hull ~ Regal China Red Riding Hood Open Sugar, Creamer & Small Salt & Pepper set from Collector Cookie Jars. All four pieces for one price! Unfortunately, this set has some ouchies, but they are still able to be loved and displayed. The creamer was broken; the entire top was shorn off and glued back together. I’ve circled the effected areas of the pieces in the photos. The open sugar bowl does not have any damage. The salt / pepper set; one of the two shakers is damaged. Sometime in its life, this one shaker had been decapitated and the head glued back on. Again, I’ve circled the damaged areas in the photos. All four pieces do display well. Maybe you’re missing each of the good pieces and can use these. You’re actually buying 2 good pieces & I am giving you the 2 damaged pieces. Still have great color and great curb appeal as shelf sitters. Give them a home for this small price! The sugar alone books for far more than I’m pricing these four pieces. Hull / Regal China: Little Red Riding Hood. Open basket jar with a small collection of poppies on the lower right side of her dress. This jar has one small factory flaw as seen on her apron. It’s a simple dark line inside of what apparently was a glaze bubble that popped & they pushed the material back together after the bubble popped. Its under the glaze, so, is not damage. Beautiful jar, no chips or cracks, very clean. Signed on the bottom “Little Red Riding Hood, Pat. Des. No. 135880 USA”. This is not a reproduction jar. This is THE Red Riding Hood that is so highly collectable designed by Louise Bauer, marketed by Hull Pottery and manufactured by Regal China for Hull Pottery when their orders were more than they could fill. Hull: Duck CJ. Here he is! Incised on the underside of the base, “Hull 966 USA”. Fresh out of an estate and in the “as found” condition, still donning his dust and cobwebs from the storage spot where we found him! Exciting find since this jar usually is found with very little if any cold paint on him. I’ve provided a panoramic viewing for the jar so that you can see that he retains the majority of his original cold paint! Like I said, for this jar, a rare find! Now, the question: should we clean him before shipping him to you, or, would you enjoy the pleasure like you just found him in the attic to clean him? PLEASE LET US KNOW HOW YOU WOULD LIKE HIM DELIVERED TO YOU; for you to clean yourself, or, for us to clean him before we send him! In my opinion, a great find in the “as found” condition! Hull / Regal China: THE Little Red Riding Hood CJ. This is one with the closed basket.  I’m sure if you’re familiar with this jar, you know that it was designed by Louise Bauer for Hull Pottery. When production of this jar got so far out for Hull to keep up with the orders, Hull brothers contracted the subsequent jars out to Regal China for manufacturing. This jar has a wonderful condition and color. I don’t think this jar has ever been used, no signs of cookie grease inside. There’s an extremely minimal crazing. There is one teeeeeeenie paint flake missing on the side of her hood. Please look at the photo where I’m pointing to the spot with my pen. The flake is literally the size of the pen tip. It appears that someone scratched the jar in this spot leading to this missing paint flake. Other than this & a couple of lighter paint spots on the head of the hood, she’s about as nice a jar of this style that you’ll ever find. See the photo for signature authentication of the jar.
