McCoy Slant Top Tee Pee Collector Cookie Jar. (please excuse some of the darker yellow coloring as seen in some of the photos, particularly the one showing the underside, was just a camera glitch and not the jar itself.) While both this jar and the straight cut top McCoy Tee Pee jars are both difficult to find, this one is by far the more difficult of the two to encounter. As with most of the cold-painted jars, this jar while it retains most of the important areas’ paint, it does have some paint loss as demonstrated in the photos. Nice overall condition, no chips or cracks. Solid jar, signed on the underside “McCoy USA 137″. The lid and base are “cut” at an angle with an interlocking dimple to keep the lid from sliding off the jar. Unique improvement over the straight cut top jars, making this jar, one of the “holy grails” of collecting both McCoy jars and jars in general! A very difficult to find jar in any condition, however, I guarantee that you’ll be pleased to own this jar! McCoy Kittens On Yarn Ball Collector Cookie Jar; Superb jar for color and condition. While most of the detailing on this jar is cold-painted as with many of these vintage jars, much of the cold-paint remains! Even the lettering “Three Little Kittens” remains! I only noticed a couple of very small spots on the reverse that were missing paint on the kittens. No chips, no cracks or any other after-market damage. If the jar is crazed, due to the colors, it’s difficult to see. Inside, the jar is VERY clean indicating to me that it was highly unlikely that this jar was ever used but was simply a decorator item in someone’s kitchen. There is no trace of crumbs or cookie grease! Very difficult to find any of these vintage cold-painted jars in the superb condition that this one offers to share its brilliance in your collection! Appropriately marked on the underside as “McCoy USA” and inside as well being stamped with the artist’s initials who decorated the jar at the McCoy plant. McCoy Christmas Tree Collector Cookie Jar. Here it is, one of the most highly sought after collector cookie jars! The McCoy Christmas Tree, made in or about 1959. Still retains the majority of its cold-painted colors, too! No chips, no cracks or hairlines. Beautiful example of this jar! It almost appears that this jar was likely a shelf-sitter all of its life and maybe only came out for an annual appearance at Christmas time! Signed “McCoy USA” on the bottom. This jar also has an “interlocking lid” to help keep it in place, better. The lid and base have corresponding notches for this. See photos. Deep rich green color with some light spray of silver on the tips of the branches to give the appearance of “snow”. The baubles are highlighted in reds and yellows that are cold-painted along with the silver touch. A very beautiful, wonderful, well-made jar sought by novices and advanced collectors alike! McCoy Hamm’s Bear Collector Cookie Jar. Made toward the end of the reign of the McCoy pottery empire, this wonderful jar remained damage-free all these years since the mid-70s. No chips, no cracks or hairlines. Some light crazing shows in spots but this is usual, typical and expected in these vintage jars. Friendly looking guy, isn’t he? Bottom is incised “148 USA”, I’ve circled the areas where the impressions are. They don’t show up well in the photo. This is a very large, heavy, well-made jar! A must for any collector and highly sought after esp in this condition! While he does have some cold-paint, he doesn’t appear to be at a loss for any particularly on his tie. Great jar, great price! WC Fields (McCoy?) Decanter “Go With” from Collector Cookie Jars. This is for the decanter only! The jar is present in the photo only for size comparison. Here’s a very difficult to find item and hardly known. It’s a WC Fields liquor decanter. Not sure of the maker, could be McCoy, but won’t swear to it. It does bear a striking resemblance to the jar however, is about 1/3 smaller than the jar being only about 8 ½ inches tall. No damage condition, no chips, no cracks, no hairlines. The only thing wrong with this little guy is that someone pushed the cork down inside the decanter. Its there, and if someone has the smarts how to remove it, its there to put back in the top. The hat band is in remarkable condition, too! Nice “go with” if you have the jar, too! A must have and also very difficult to find item, even more so than the jar!
