Collector Cookie Jars

McCoy Mr. & Mrs Owl Collector Cookie Jar. Sorry to report that this particular jar has been damaged. First, there are 2 chips on the area between the two heads on the feather between the hats. The chips are rather old now and have blended in with the colors of the jar so they are not highly noticed. Some of the cold paint is missing on the face, too. The base was broken on the right side, upper corner (left side in photo) and glued back together. Strangely enough, as poorly as they put the pieces back together as you can see on the inside of the jar, the poor reconstruction does NOT show hardly at all on the outside. All that shows on the outside is the chip on the rim. There are some teenie flea bites too, on the rim of the inside of the lid. The reconstruction does not seem to effect the structure & stability of the jar, it remains strong. No other damage to report. The jar is properly marked “McCoy” on the underside. This is still a fine looking shelf-sitter, or, I suppose you could still use it as a cookie jar. The new jars cost as much or more than this vintage classic! This jar is an orphan that can still be loved and needs a good home. Please consider adopting him for the small price we’ve set! You’ll still love it and it will love you back! McCoy Tuggle SS Cookie Collector Cookie Jar. Nice McCoy jar! More of a biscuit jar than a cookie jar, but most likely will never see cookies or biscuits again. I’m betting it never did in the first place since this jar is totally damage-free, and, its soooo clean! Nice shiny finish, mint condition! Bottom-side appropriately marked “USA # 354” Tug boat collectors, here it is! Great jar! Small price! Nabisco Barnum’s Animal Cracker Jar made by McCoy Collector Cookie Jar. Mint condition, no chips or cracks! Great color, nice jar made c 1970. This is a real McCoy! Bottom impressed with “USA” & # 152, this information doesn’t show well in the photo, but its there. Remember when we were kids? We could go to the ma/pa corner store with a nickel and buy one of the “Barnum Animal” crackers boxes full of those tasty animal crackers. Back then of course, they cost 3 c to 5 c a box. They still sell them today, however, I’m sure those small boxes are well over a dollar now. This should bring back some baby-boomer memories! Great jar that we all grew up with! Popeye cylinder made by McCoy Collector Cookie Jar. Mint condition, very clean, excellent example of this particular jar. Not many were, but this particular jar is company stamped, “McCoy USA” on the underside. Popeye fans and jar collectors alike, here he is, great jar, great price. McCoy:   Squirrel Collector Cookie Jar. He’s eating an acorn, holding it in his front paws. VERY nicely detailed jar! Some also call it the chipmonk jar since it bears a resemblance to both a squirrel as well as a chip monk. This jar is about life sized to a squirrel! This guy is about the best example of this jar I’ve ever seen. The colors are very strong, the finish is very shiny. Authentic, real McCoy jar all the way! Some crazing but no chips, no cracks.  Marked on the underside “McCoy”. Reasonably priced and a wonderful addition to any collection!
