Maker Unknown: Monk CJ. Some say it may be attributed to McCoy, but I will not be definitive on that. No mark on the underside. Just a fun jar with superb details. I just love this plump friar’s face! He almost looks like a living person, doesn’t he? ”Thou Shalt Not Steal”. No chips or cracks. Crazing is not visible due to the dark colors. Appears to have been another shelf sitter rather than ‘in the service’ type of jar. This is a tall very solid jar. Maker Unknown: Ice Cream Cone Candy Jar. This jar is about 6 inches tall! Great, colorful candy jar. Not sure of age or origin. It does have a great quality sound like expensive porcelain when you tap it. No chips, no cracks, don’t see any crazing on the jar anywhere. I don’t think this is someone’s home-made ceramics class, either. It’s a high quality candy jar. Baby Chick ~Maker Unknown~ Collector Cookie Jar
Maker Unknown: Baby Chick CJ. Found this little guy in the book and the book says its marked simply as “USA” on SOME jars. This particular jar is not marked. Date, C 50’s, still retains 99% of its original cold paint. I’ve given you a 360-degree look all around the jar to check him out. Very solid, well-made, colorful and nicely detailed jar. NO chips or cracks…can’t tell much about crazing. Definitely no cookie grease inside the jar. I’m betting this guy was just another decorator item in a home and was never used. Flambro Emmett Kelly Jr. Clown Collector Cookie Jar
Flambo: THE Emmett Kelly Jr. CJ! VERY large jar in superb condition…..no chips, no cracks. I don’t see any crazing, either. The jar still has the original foil label on the underside. I’m not too sure it shows up well in the photo, however, be assured, it is there. Great details & earth-tone colors makes this a very highly sought after collector jar. There weren’t a lot of these jars made & the popularity of this jar is soaring. I believe it was made in the 1980’s. Among all the other Emmett Kelly Jr. Clown jars, this is by far one of the most popular. It belongs in YOUR collection! He’s waiting on you….see his pose?
