Collector Cookie Jars

Regal China: Old Mac Donald’s Barn Collector Cookie Jar. This jar is about one of the finest I’ve had in a very long time! Usually, the edges of the barn or lid are chipped, paint has rubbed off or it’s cracked. This jar is about as perfect & in like new condition as you’ll find in a long time! And! A VERY hard to find jar, might I add, in any condition! No chips, no cracks or hairlines & no paint loss! Great color and fantastic detail right down to the blue birds kissing on the roof! Like all the Regal China jars, this one too, has a ring of quality like fine porcelain when you tap it or put the lid in place. Marked on the bottom “381 Pat Pending”. Was typical that Regal China only marked their jars in this fashion with just a pat pending & mold number. This jar is also a “go with” quite a few pieces of Regal China made for the Old Mac Donald theme. We should have some of the “go withs” listed under the “go withs” topic on the home page. Napco: Carousel Collector Cookie Jar. Hi, not totally sure that this jar was made by Napco, but it surely very closely resembles the Napco Carousel jar listed in the book. Variations were always a standard in most cases when companies made jars, for example, the motif or pattern was the same, but perhaps a different color of the same style jar. I’m convinced that this is either a Napco jar or a Japanese made jar from the really nice quality & the overall color & design. Unfortunately, there is no mark to identify the maker. There is some minor staining from cookie grease, visible in some of the photos showing the sides and underside. No chips, no cracks or hairlines but does have some light crazing. I like this jar, it’s a really fun jar. I took photos of the different sides. The jar is round but it has 5 different panels & is supposed to resemble a carousel or merry-go-round. It evens has the small flag n the tip top of the lid, just like the Napco jar does! In my opinion, a fun and attractive jar that no matter who made it, I’m sure you will still be extremely pleased to own it! The book value on the Napco jar is $150 and with that, we’ve priced this at about half! Brush: Lantern Collector Cookie Jar. Marked on the bottom “K1 Brush, USA”. No chips, no cracks, a very clean, fantastic example of this fine jar. The finial is an American Eagle. Authentic jar, not a reproduction. Great for any décor, even for the holidays! Fine example of this mid-fifties collector Brush jar! Lenox: Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer Collector Cookie Jar. Rudolph sits atop a pile of Christmas gifts. This is a wonderful jar displaying great colors, a very festive jar with fine details. We all know the wonderful quality that Lenox is known for. Comes with the original box! Never used. Even retains the original suggested retail price sticker! This is another more modern jar that is quickly gaining popularity as well as realizing an increase in value! Beautiful example of this particular jar! Metlox: Full Figure Black Trim Clown Collector Cookie Jar. This jar is by far my most favorite clown jar. The detail and color is fantastic. I’ve never seen a better-detailed, full figured clown. This jar is one of the more difficult to find versions of the Metlox full figure clown. He has the black trim and all the colors are  under the glaze so they won’t wash off, unlike the full figure yellow Metlox clown. I don’t believe this jar was ever used. It’s very clean & totally damage-free. No chips, no cracks, just some light crazing. Can’t be seen in the foto, sorry, but it is signed on the underside, “Metlox made in USA”.
