CARDINAL CASTLE COLLECTOR COOKIE JAR

Very hard to find jar! Cardinal cookie jars are very collectable especially this one, the Castle. On the bottom side of the back of the jar its impressed “Cardinal USA 3100”. (I had to enhance the color a bit to make the Cardinal identification show up better) No chips, no cracks no damage to report, this jar is basically damage-free. There is a bit of cookie grease in the bottom of the jar but this is typical for a used jar of this age. It also helps authenticate the jar since the grease takes years of use to leach into the jar. It also helps give the jar some “character”. Cardinal was a subsidiary company of American Bisque & has many of the characteristics like the pad feet of the American Bisque jars. Its also quite a heavy jar for its size. Also characteristic of American Bisque… very sturdy quality! The colors are quite vivid in comparison to many jars like this that I’ve seen where they are rather dull. Nice example of a mid-century jar & very difficult to find in any condition!
