Here, she is! The BRAYTON LAGUNA MAID CJ. Everyone has been asking if we have this jar! Its our understanding that only about 200 of these jars were made in their day! When you consider breakage, throwing them away, etc, there can’t be too many left today! I’ve only seen a precious few show up on E bay over the past 15 years and most had some degree of damage. This jar is about as close to perfect as you can find. No chips, no cracks, no hairlines or other visible damage! Usually, this jar has a chipped pie, or, her bonnet or apron has chips. This jar was in a collector’s home since it was new and I don’t believe it was ever used to hold cookies! I’ve seen the damaged jars on E bay for $2000 and more! Here she is in near perfect condition! Whoever the artist was that did the finishing work on this jar, there must have been two. One left their mark inside the lid as number 6 and the other on the underside of the base next to the stamp under glaze as “Copyright Brayton Laguna Pottery” what appears to be number 4. This jar is a must for any serious collector. In 2001, we broke a national record for the sale of one of these jars at auction for $7,360.00!! Here she is……grab her up! This one has a great, bright, clean, shiny finish! THIS IS ONE OF THE MOST DIFFICULT TO FIND JARS IN THE COOKIE JAR COLLECTOR’S WORLD TODAY!
