Peek a Boo Original Van Telligen by Regal China Collector Cookie Jar

Peek a Boo by Van Telligen…made by Regal China…RARE… Collector Cookie Jar. Marked on the bottom side, “Peek a Boo Copyright Van Telligen”. This is the real deal! No chips, no cracks, no hairlines! The gold trim is even in really nice intact condition. Not a reproduction, this is one of the Holy Grail of collector cookie jars! The head can be set in different positions to have the face point in any direction you’d like to make it more interesting. This is one of the more desirable features of this great jar that you can pose the head differently whenever you want and the jar has a different look with each different pose! This is definitely one of my favorites and a great investment since his value will hold a constant. Book value has been sited at between $1200 – $1400 and there weren’t many of these nice jars manufactured. I am sure that by now, especially with all the careless packing for mail order, there are even fewer left now! Fun jar and would also make a great theme for a child’s room! Designed by Van Telligen & manufactured by Regal China, the design, the quality is fantastic! Has the look, “ring” and feel of fine porcelain! Truly a quality, vintage, C late 1940s – early 1950s, this fine example of this jar does not show any use…no cookie grease!! Any crazing is a minimal! This is one of the best examples of this jar that I have seen in a long time and in my opinion, worthy of Andy Warhol’s collection!
