~RARE JAR ALERT!~ Stamped on the underside, “Walter Lance Productions 1967”. On the back after more than 47 years, remains the original sticker that says “WOODY WOOD PECKER! Here he is Baby Boomers! Woody Woodpecker! Did you know his wife was the voice & laugh for Woody in the 60s cartoon series?
RARE JAR! Standing about 15 inches tall, this is one HUGE jar & was originally sold on the Home Shopping Channel. This is a cold painted jar, meaning that the majority of the color was not applied when the jar was fired, it was just painted on after the raw jar was fired. Red seems to be a very difficult color to fire on & cold painting is a less expensive method. Be that as it may, to find this jar without chips cracks or a lot of missing paint would be a miracle, well just to find this jar in any condition is a miracle, so, today I bring you a miracle! This Woody has what looks to be about 98% of his paint intact & he still looks pretty crisp and clean! I said “almost which is subject to personal interpretation. This jar is almost a life-sized head! Very well detailed & has great color. This is a VERY difficult to find jar BUT would make a great gift or addition to anyone’s collection! Holidays are here! Give someone a memory!!
